Who we are
Soroptimist International of the TriCities is part of Soroptimist International – an organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Almost 95,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls.
Soroptimist, means “best for women,” and that’s what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best.
Our Club
Soroptimist International of the TriCities was charted in 1999 and has grown to over 30 women who work constantly to make a difference for women and girls in our own communities and internationally.
We are moms, neighbours, caregivers and friends. We are business owners, nurses, realtors, managers, instructors, IT experts, mortgage brokers, counsellors, office support, consultants, interior designers and more. We volunteer time and resources to improve the status and rights of females throughout the world.
