Rosemary Graham is a family nurse practitioner living in the Port Moody/Coquitlam area. She lived in the Yukon Territory for 20 years and completed a Masters degree in nursing by distance education while living there.  She now works full time and teaches advanced practice nursing in a Masters program through Athabasca University.  She has three beautiful daughters who have had dreams and opportunities that many of the women and girls she works  with have not had.

Rosemary is a member of the Baha’i community, which believes in two fundamental concepts.  The betterment of the world is achieved through sincere acts of service and that education releases human potential.  For women to fully contribute to the betterment of the world they require education and social opportunities.  She is looking forward to working with other women to support our sisters through education and opportunities that will open the doors to a fulfilling future.  I

Behnaz Behzadi immigrated to Canada 15 years ago from Iran.  She learned English and completed her degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2007.  Her first job in 2008 was volunteering at the Share Thrift Store and Food Bank.  She was then able to obtain some co-op jobs with Revenue Canada.  After 2 and half years of working at Stream International in Chilliwack, supporting end users on laptops and hand-held devices, she found a contract job with IBM and is still working there.

At the same time, Behnaz also helps her mother in her daycare.  Behnaz has her first aid, food safety level 1 and YMCA training for running a daycare.  Currently she is taking ECE courses at  VCC College, downtown campus.  In addition she is a player for the IBM Soccer Club.  She also enjoys hiking, swimming, ice-skating, walking and camping in the great outdoors.  Behnaz lives with her parents and spends much of her free time with the daycare children aged 1-5.

She has always enjoyed helping others and since Soroptimists help women, regardless of their race, culture or language, she wanted to join our club.
