Soroptimists Celebrate the Season

December was a busy time for the Soroptimists.  We assembled hampers for 3 deserving families in the TriCities and held two Warm Place for Women Dinners – sumptuous turkey meals with all the trimmings.  We were able to offer gifts to all the women and their children – over 125!  And yes, Santa paid a visit.

Planning has also geared up for the spring events – our 1st annual Give Her Wings Gala (to be held on April 29th, 2011) and the Evening of Enchantment (helping less fortunate teens get ready for graduation).  Applications have been received for all the Soroptimist awards, and judging will occur in January.
